Santa Barbara is blessed with miles of beautiful beaches and all of them are public. The furthest east is Butterfly beach across from the Four Seasons luxury hotel. It is a quiet place to stroll and relax. Further west is East Beach, great for activities such as beach ball. Continuing on is Chase Palm beach and then West beach which begins at the west side of Stearns Wharf.
Between the harbor and Shoreline park is Ledbetter beach and the furthest west beach is Hendry's Beach also known as Arroyo Burro Beach, a bit off the beaten path, it is frequented by locals and dogs are allowed.
